What is a life coach? There are many definitions of what a life coach exactly does, but I believe the main goal is to make people more conscious and more authentic.
As a Life Coach I know how important thinking is, but I also know the importance of our feelings and emotions. I would say they are even more important than thinking. Why is this? Basically, our feelings are an important feedback system our body is providing us.
It is relative easy to wish others well or to say you love someone else. But how many people can honestly look in the mirror and say they love themselves? Can you? Many people lack the self-confidence for this. They think they don’t deserve to be loved. Thinking they are lacking an essential quality for this.
As a life coach and someone who is genuinely interested in people I have learned to listen and to observe. I look at how people behave, how they move, how they breathe, what their facial expressions are and listen to what they have to say. You can learn a lot by observing and listening to how people speak.
Every person has at least one passion in their life, even if they do not know it yet. My experience is that when you are living your passion things happen with ease. You enjoy what you are doing. You’re in flow. It’s like the universe is supporting you in every possible way and with every step you take. People who have turned their passion into their career are generally very happy people.
Isn’t it funny that we spend a huge amount of our early lives getting an education; learning to read and write, learning mathematics and the history of the country we live in, but that we never get taught how to live life itself? The simple skills on how to communicate with people, how to be a successful, happy person and how to design our own lives are left out. What a waste!
